Sweet and Spicy Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots

- 24 frozen tater tots room temperature
- 6 slices bacon
- ¼ cup dark brown sugar packed
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cayenne pepper.

Sprinkle the brown sugar/cayenne pepper mix on top of the bacon and rub the mixture into the bacon.
6 slices bacon
Cut each slice of bacon into 4 equal pieces.
Wrap the bacon around the tater tot and secure with a toothpick.
24 frozen tater tots
Place the tater tot seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.Repeat the process with all the tater tots. Bake the tater tots at 400°F for 20-25 minutes and flip halfway through cooking.Serve immediately and enjoy!
- Use thin cut bacon strips. Thick cut bacon takes longer to bake.
- Don't cook the bacon before wrapping. Wrap raw strip around the tot and bake together.
- Soaking toothpicks in water helps prevent them from burning.
- Use a wire rack while baking. Extra grease from bacon will collect in the baking sheet and tots will be crispy.
- Always use frozen tots.
