Skinny Peach Frozen Margarita

Skinny Peach Frozen Margaritas are the only way I’m beating the heat this Summer! So delicious, easy, and refreshing. Bonus…it’s light on the calories!

It’s only the beginning of June and it’s already in the mid 90s here in Saint Louis. I’m not a big fan of hot days, but I’m definitely a fan of cold drinks, specifically FROZEN COCKTAILS! These Frozen Peach Margaritas can beat the heat any day and you can feel good about drinking 1 (or 2?) because we have taken out all the extra stuff and made it as healthy as possible!

It’s still a margarita, so it’s not exactly diet food, but this Skinny Margarita made with sparkling water is just what Summer ordered.

Every party needs a Skinny Peach Frozen Margarita, the perfect Summer sip!

Frozen Peach Margaritas require good tequila!

I mentioned the STL heat wave, but I didn’t mention my favorite home town Tequila! If you’re a long time reader of The Cookie Rookie, you’ll know that I’ve loved Exotico Tequila for some time now. Exotico is manufactured in Saint Louis, silky smooth and delicious, and has a great and affordable price point. I’m also a big fan of those cute bottles!

Some of my favorite cocktail recipes on The Cookie Rookie have been made with Exotico, including our super popular Strawberry Margarita Punch, Pink Summer Shandy, and Game Day Tequila Sunrise. You can never go wrong with an ice cold tequila drink in your hand. These Skinny Peach Frozen Margaritas are my new fave and I cannot wait for you to try them!

The other important ingredient in these Skinny Peach Margaritas is Sparkling Peach Water from Mountain Valley! I lovvvve the way that using sparkling water in this cocktail adds some zip and bubbles to the mix but also adds that delicious peach flavor without the calories. SHHH! This is the secret ingredient!

What kind of tequila do you use for Frozen Margaritas?

I chose to use Exotico Resposado in this Frozen Margarita and I thought it was simple perfection. I prefer a resposado over a blanco (gold versus white) in this recipe for its smooth and subtle taste with notes of vanilla, spice, and fruit. It’s the perfect compliment the peaches! It’s a more mellow tequila for people that don’t want to taste as much of the alcohol in their cocktails.

Tips for making a Skinny Margarita

We like to consider ourselves Skinny Margarita experts around here. I’m no Bethenny Frankel, but I certainly have made my share. Here are some little tricks that keep a margarita a bit healthier while not sacrificing flavor or fun:

  • Use agave nectar in place of sugar
  • Use Peach Sparkling Water in place of peach juice or orange juice
  • Keep ingredients simple. This Frozen Margarita Recipe doesn’t need Triple Sec, sugary juices, or all that jazz. It’s great just how it is!

How many calories are in this Skinny Peach Frozen Margarita?

We have worked this Frozen Margarita recipe many times to make it as flavorful as possible, with as few calories as possible! The recipe below makes 4 LARGE Margaritas that are under 150 calories each, and I’m calling that a major win. You can have a jumbo Peach Margarita and not feel guilty in the least! Bring on Cinco de Mayo, Summer, Game Day, and every celebration in between!

Becky's Tips

NOTE: I prefer a salt rim, but you could also do a sugar rim! I like salty and sweet, but its great both ways.

Just made this recipe, AWESOME. I had to make a few changes as I did not have all ingredients (used vodka, simple syrup). I also used WM peach water & lime juice from a bottle (I know, sorry). Only made half the recipe (just in case lol). Absolutely tastes like a margarita! This is going to be my fav new summer drink on the deck. I put my left overs in individual small freezer containers so I can grab when I’m ready (they won’t last long). Thanks so much for sharing5 stars
