I love the flavor of apples dipped in caramel in the fall, but I don’t love all the extra sugar and calories. This cream cheese caramel apple dip satisfies my sweet tooth in a healthier way with fat-free cream cheese, light Cool Whip, and sugar-free caramel sauce. This apple dip is perfect for sharing (or not– I won’t tell!), and it’s so easy to make. I recommend making a double batch because this dip disappears in minutes!

There’s just something about caramel and apples together. It’s so perfect for autumn! If the weather is getting cool you better believe I am making this dip. This cream cheese caramel apple dip is creamy, dreamy, and just a little lighter on the calories and sugar.

What’s in This Cream Cheese Caramel Apple Dip Recipe?

  • Fat-Free Cream Cheese: Makes this dip creamy and decadent but less fatty.
  • Light Cool Whip: Makes the dip light and fluffy in texture.
  • Sugar-Free Caramel Sauce: Adds rich caramel flavor without all the sugar.
  • White Chocolate Chips: Add a pop of creamy white chocolate flavor and crunch to the dip.

Tips for Success

  • You can use full-fat versions of the ingredients for a more indulgent dip.
  • Feel free to leave out the white chocolate chips for a lower-calorie treat (reduces calories by about 81 per serving).

How to Store

This cream cheese caramel apple dip should stay fresh for 3-5 days when properly stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It’s great that it lasts a few days, but I always prefer it on the first day or two after making it. So delish!

Serving Suggestions

I made this creamy caramel dip with apples in mind, so of course I recommend serving this with apple slices. I love Honeycrisp, but Braeburn, Pink Lady, or Gala are also delicious. For a tart pairing, opt for Granny Smith!

I think it would be amazing as a caramel fondue! Cube other goodies, like cheesecake, brownies, or pound cake, and dip in the caramel sauce for a delicious treat!

5-Star Review

“Bliss. Pure, sheer, utter bliss. Cannot wait to cover everything in this major deliciousness!” – Karly

Not sure how you can call this “SKINNY” caramel apple dip. Although it sounds amazing, when you actually add the calories and fat of all of the ingredients the calories per serving comes to 313 and fat is 14g with 49 carbs! That is not what I would consider a “SKINNY” food especially since the government food guidelines suggest 5 smalls meals consisting of 300-500 calories a day, this would be a meal, not a snack. I only bring this up because many people trying to lose weight will see that it is titled “SKINNY” and think that it is a low calorie snack and not think twice to check the calorie content of this recipe.

Hey there- I definitely appreciate your comment. This recipe is meant to be a slimmed down version of traditional Caramel Apple Dip. I tried to make substitutions that would lower the typical calories/fat. Very good points on people not checking the actual calories etc. I hope that someday soon I can find a good plugin that will add that info to the end of my recipes like on a food label. Thanks for stopping by!

Walden Farms makes a delicious CALORIE FREE caramel sauce. If you used it and omitted the chips, calories would be minimal and fat would be zero. Yum!

Good point on recipe not being totally “skinny.” Any reduction from original is good idea. Any idea what recipe would be if omitted the wt. chocolate chips? Used fat free carmel sauce If you can find it?

She meant it as a “less fattening recipe” and if people that are on a diet do not check the information before they eat, then that is their problem do not blame her she is just posting her recipe.

Really?! I made it today using low fat cream cheese, regular old butterscotch caramel sauce, and fat free cool whip and 12 servings came out to be 184 calories, 5.5 g of fat, and 32 g of carbs. Not terrible and certainly much better than a regular version.

Oh no, my comment was totally in support of the recipe as compared to the traditional Apple dips! And realistically, I got about 20 2 tbs servings so it’s down to 110 calories, 3.3 g fat, 12.1 g sugar, and 19 carbs. Granted, I’m training and am allowed to have a ton of carbs, But again, I used reduced fat (not fat free) cream cheese (is that even a thing? Lol) and completely normal caramel sauce. If you swapped those out for sugar free and non fat this would have next to nothing in it.5 stars

You’re welcome! All credit goes to the myfitnesspal app! All I was copy the link to the recipe in the app, scan the actual ingredients I used, and enter the number of servings. It calculated everything for me :). That would be a great way for you to include at least the macros for your recipes if you wanted that info readily available for your followers.

This looks delicious! I have made a non-skinny version of this but this actually looks better and if it has less calories, then this would certainly be the way to go!
