Baked Cheese Sticks (Ham & Cheese)
This Baked Cheese Sticks Recipe is a healthier take on fried Cheese Sticks. They’re filled with Ham & Cheese for a whole new flavor! It’s such a fun idea for a kids dinner, but you’ll want to sneak a bite or two.
We are BIG fans of mozzarella cheese sticks around here but I don’t really want to be feeding Henry a bunch of fried foods. These are the best of both worlds. They’re easy to make, super flavorful, full of melty cheese, and baked to perfection!
It’s like a ham and cheese sandwich, wrapped up into an easy (and fun) to eat stick.
Healthy Ham & Cheese Sticks Recipe – Baked not Fried!
The best part about these ham & mozzarella cheese sticks is that they’re baked instead of fried. They may not be the epitome of health, but baked mozzarella sticks are infinitely better than their fried counterpart. This mozzarella sticks recipe is so fun to serve at home for the whole family!
If Henry really is my son, then he’s going to LOVE LOVE LOVE cheese. Any kind, any form, any meal. All day every day. I love that this baked mozzarella sticks recipe is an easy and relatively healthy way for kids and adults to get their cheese fix. Wrapped in ham and baked into an eggroll is an amazing way to eat melty cheese. We are big fans of these cheese sticks!

What’s so different about these baked cheese sticks?
- They are BAKED instead of fried

Can you use filo pastry wrappers?
I haven’t tried it that way but you can give it a shot!
That’s what I thought the pastry was on the outside. Interesting using Egg Roll Wraps
Did u guys try these or maybe anything else? Especially if it worked to brown them?
My toddlers loved them! So cheesy and delicious.
Thanks for sharing, Brianna!
We loved these ❤️
Thanks for stopping by and sharing!
These were delicious! I baked for a few extra minutes on the other side and they came out perfect.
Thanks for sharing, Kara!
Could you use croissant rolls
Croissant rolls are a lot different than egg roll wrappers but you can sure give it a shot. You may need to adjust baking times so be sure to watch them while they bake.
Can’t wait to try your recipe but almost left because was so frustrated with all the ads and pop ups.
Sorry about that, Stace! Unfortunately the ads are what help keep the website free! They’re an necessary evil!
It would be nice to see some pictures of them actually being rolled up. All the pictures except one are of the finished product.
There is a video as well that shows you how to roll them! It should pop up on the side or there is a video link at the bottom of the recipe! I hope that helps!
Can you air fry these?
Absolutely!! Let me know how they turn out for you!
Could you use won ton wrappers?
Sure! I would maybe try doubling up since they are so thin!
Would this work with won ton wrappers?
I bought by accident.
Thanks
Yes, I would double up thought because they are so thin!
I don’t know about any of these kinds of wraps; did this kind brown? Any tips?
