I absolutely love anything apple pie in the Fall. It’s simply a must make flavor profile that I can’t get enough of! This cocktail is on repeat at our house as soon as the weather turns cool.

What’s in Apple Cider Punch

This recipe tastes great with or without alcohol, so you can make it to fit the occasion. Talk about a crowd pleaser!

  • Apple: Use your favorite apple – just be sure to slice it.
  • Apple Cider: Buy it at the store or make your own! I have recipes for both Crockpot apple cider AND Instant Pot apple cider.
  • Pear Nectar: You should be able to find this in the juice aisle of your local grocery store. It adds the best fruity touch of sweetness!
  • Ginger Ale: This adds a delicious sparkling element.
  • Apple Pie Vodka: If you can’t find this, no worries! Just swap it with caramel vodka.

PRO TIP: If you’re looking to liven up your holiday this year, just splash a little Apple Pie Vodka in your glass. You guys…this vodka. I am NOT a shot girl, but that vodka is AMAZING.

What type of apple works best in this drink?

You can use pretty much any type of apple in this drink. Depending on your preferences, here are some ideas:

  • Tart: Granny Smith, Macintosh, Pink Lady apples
  • In-between: Gala, Jazz, Delicious
  • Sweet: Honeycrisp, Fuji, Envy

Can I make this drink in advance?

Sure thing! Mix most of the ingredients and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. Just save the ice and ginger ale for serving time. The ice will melt and water down the drink, and the ginger ale could lose its fizz.

Do I need to cook the apples?

Nope! Although it’s an apple pie inspired drink, this recipe calls for fresh apples only.

Where can I buy apple pie vodka?

Check your local liquor store! If you’re struggling to find some, consider making my favorite apple pie vodka recipe (it’s super quick and easy). You can always replace it with caramel vodka if needed.

Serving Suggestions

If you’re serving this apple pie drink at parties or when you have a few friends around, then you’ll need some nibbles to serve it with.

Here are some recipes that would go perfectly:

This punch is delicious and so simple! I doubled the recipe and made it last weekend for a Halloween party. It was a huge hit! I couldn’t find pear nectar or apple pie vodka so I used apple juice and salted caramel vodka instead. I can’t say enough good things about this punch. I think it will be my staple Halloween bash punch. Thank you for sharing!5 stars

Thank you for this comment. I can’t find the vodka or the pear nectar and am subbing the caramel vodka and apple juice and I was worried it might not be good and of course it’s for Thanksgiving. No pressure ;) Thank you for posting this. One less thing to worry about!

Get Meli- If you still have time to shop I saw pear nectar at Whole Foods last weekend. But if not, I’m pretty sure apple juice will be more than fine!! Honestly you probably won’t even notice the difference. And I’m a huge caramel vodka lover, so I’m sure that will be tasty too. I hope it works out! Happy Thanksgiving!

What is a good substitute if I can’t find apple pie vodka?
Cinnamon stick vodka or caramel vodka?
(I went to every liquor store around me, and one even tried to order it, but it never arrived…)

You could use either of those vodkas! You could also use regular vodka and add some cinnamon sticks in to the punch. I have used caramel vodka in a different apple pie drink and it was delish! The apple cider has enough spice in it that it would taste great either way :)

Awesome–thanks so much! I picked up some of the Cinnamon Stick vodka (Smirnoff), so I’m going to give it a shot for my neighbors’ Halloween party. :)

Where would one find “pear nectar”? I’ve checked local grocery stores & can’t find it…..

I found it at a couple grocery stores here in STL. It was in the organic juice section and then another time in the baking section by the canned fruit (go figure). Kern’s is a good brand that I’ve seen several places. I had to ask someone. I have also heard Whole Foods carries it. You could go with regular pear juice or even just leave it out and add some apple juice if you can’t find it! Hope that helps!

First, that punch looks beautiful and delicious. And second, love the straws. I actually just bought the exact ones (color and pattern) last week and I’m just dying to use them.

I’d like to make a non-alcoholic version of this. Any idea on what to substitute for the apple cider vodka? I feel like there is a flavor profile that adds that would be missing if I don’t use it. Suggestions welcome. :)
