- 1 cup dry basmati rice
- 8 cups water
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Add the rice to a fine mesh sieve and rinse with cold water until the water runs clear. Move the rice around with your hand making sure it is all rinsed evenly. This will take 2-3 minutes.1 cup dry basmati rice
- Add the water and salt to a medium pot over high heat. Once the water boils, add in the rinsed rice and reduce to a simmer. Cook uncovered for 8-10 minutes or until the rice is tender.8 cups water, ½ teaspoon kosher salt
